Dirk Pöker

Dirk has over two years of experience in data handling, coding and econometric modelling. His expertise includes working with large cross-section and panel datasets, such as the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP). For example, Dirk conducted econometric analyses to study the effect of international migration on labor market outcomes and political preferences. In addition to his applied econometric work, he has a solid background in theoretical economics including in game theory, in particular in contest theory and in the modeling of behavioural biases in financial markets.

Apart from his economics skills, he has over 5 years of experience in working as project manager in IT Development, which makes him particularly versatile in programming. Dirk holds a specialized Master in Evaluation of Public Policies from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, a Master in Economic Analysis from the Barcelona Autonomous University, and a Master in Quantitative Economics from the University of Alicante. His Bachelor in Business Administration is from the University of Applied Sciences Südwestfalen. He is currently completing his PhD in Economics at the University of Alicante, Spain.
