Bradford has over four years of experience handling complex panel datasets for economic research and extensive practical experience in the energy sector.
Working in applied microeconomic research, Bradford has extensive experience in causal inference methods and data analysis using state of the art econometric software packages. Prior to joining ABC, Bradford worked on fundamental power price models in the energy sector, requiring a detailed industry knowledge and expertise of the varying regulatory frameworks at both the national and EU levels.
During his academic career, he worked for several years as a Research Assistant at the Economics Department in the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies. Bradford supported the Chair’s empirical microeconomic research in the areas of labor and education economics, as well as political economy. Notably he was responsible for the collection and handling of large panel data datasets.
Bradford also taught economics and statistics courses as tutor for bachelor students where his responsibilities also covered the creation of assignments and the grading of final exams.
Bradford has a Masters in Public Economics from the Free University of Berlin, Germany and a Bachelor’s degree from Haverford College, Philadelphia, United States of America. In his Master’s thesis he implemented an instrumental variable strategy to empirically investigate the impacts of European Investment Bank loans on regional growth at the NUTS-2 level in the EU.
A native English speaker, he is also fluent in German.
