Senior Analyst

Till has over four years of experience in applying economic theory and employing advanced econometric modelling techniques. He has provided valuable insights and guidance to clients and legal professionals in a wide range of competition cases, particularly focusing on arbitration and litigation cases, notably in cartel investigations across diverse sectors such as food, beverages, and heavy industries. Beyond traditional case work, he has actively supported the revision of State Aid guidelines by the European Commission by creating and implementing detailed cost models for regulated markets.

As a co-author of several expert reports and in court, Till has demonstrated his ability to effectively communicate complex economic concepts, giving tailored and effective advice. His expertise includes complex econometric modelling with a particular emphasis on price overcharge estimations and damage quantification. Additionally, Till has substantial experience in working with and analyzing large data sets. His expertise covers various areas such as data visualization, causal inference and the preparation of data packages.

Prior to joining ABC economics, Till interned at the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg. As a Research Assistant at the University of Potsdam he was in charge of implementing and analyzing statistical surveys. Additionally, he sharpened his skills in competition cases gathering first-hand experience at another reputable economic consultancy.

Apart from his professional experience, Till holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Potsdam, including a semester at the Università degli Studi di Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy. His studies primarily focused on microeconomic theory and econometric techniques. As part of his research interest, he was investigating machine learning pricing algorithms and their competitive impacts on gasoline retail markets in Germany.

As a native German speaker, he is also fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of Italian.
