Albert has over three years of experience in data handling, coding and econometric modelling including empirical and econometric techniques such as Difference-in-Differences analysis or instrumental variable estimation. For example, he quantified employment effects of minimum wage introduction in Germany, analyzed returns of education and empirically investigated potential distributional income and wealth effects of ECB unconventional monetary policy using HFCS data. In addition, he also provided empirical research support regarding projects as diverse as analyzing employment effects of pay-scheme changes, regional employment effects of the 2015 refugee influx in Germany, charitable giving in the context of humanitarian disasters and a project on female labor force participation in India as well as an analysis of gender differences in the German parliament.

His expertise includes working with and analyzing large datasets including data cleaning, data visualization, merging datasets, and the application of econometric concepts and machine learning techniques using statistical software packages.

Albert has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics and Management Science, both from Humboldt University Berlin.

A native German speaker, he is also fluent in English.
