Linh Hoang Thi Ngoc
Linh has over one year of experience in data handling, coding and econometric modelling in support of a large amount of different competition and regulatory cases. Her expertise also includes exploratory data analysis and predictive analytics using various machine learning models. She also worked with large and complex datasets containing tabular and image data for example to predict electricity consumption and used car prices. Linh has practical knowledge in causal inferences using classical econometric techniques such as Difference-in-Differences, Instrumental variable and regression discontinuity design. She has dealt with both panel and cross-sectional data using STATA, R, Python and SQL.
Linh is currently finishing her Master at the University of Paderborn, focusing on data science. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Foreign Trade University, Hanoi, Vietnam with a Erasmus semester exchange in Germany at the University of Paderborn.
As a native Vietnamese speaker, she is also fluent in English and speaks intermediate German.
